From The Scotsman 19 November 1920.
WAR MEMORIALS
DUFFTOWN.— The Duke of Richmond and Gordon unveiled at Dufftown the war memorial, the foundation stone of which was laid last April by Princess Arthur of Connaught. He said that the fighting reputation of the Gordon Highlanders had come unblemished through the war. No regiment had sustained heavier losses, and none instilled greater fear in the heart of the foe.
