There are photos of this war time use of the Atholl Palace Hotel Pitlochry in the hotel and I think in their musuem as well. It was only used as a war time school as Scarborough was bombarded by German battleships in WW1 I recall. The hotel was only used for this school during the war so not a War Memorial .

WMR 81933 has been taken out as a shell report in case more details become available, as this is a valid war memorial under the national definition.
There are a number of such school evacuation memorials on the IWM system |
